Digitalisation takes place everywhere. In cities, suburbs and rural areas – the future is digital. And how does this look like? An exemplary solution will be presented by innogy at Hannover Messe 2017 from 24th to 28th April at the invitation of the NRW Ministry of the Environment to their joint stand: innogized poles – multifunctional poles for future infrastructure. Whether e-car-charging, LED-screens, cameras or an environmental package – equipped with various sensors and devices – these poles deliver tasks and services for people in communities. Innogy developes tailored poles for costumer needs, Vodafone provides the connectivity.

Functions of innogized Poles

innogized poles help to extend the infrastructure for e-mobility. With an integrated charging unit, the innogized pole becomes the center for e-charging of cars, e-bikes and pedelecs. It can support B2B in public and semi-public infrastructure to fulfill environmental standards, fine dust controlling, temperature or freeze detection. With cameras streets and spaces can be controlled and being connected with safety facilities. Traffic surveillance and the avoidance of congestions is possible.

Two thirds of the world’s population will be living in urban areas by 2050. This puts enormous pressure on industry, B2B, city councils, municipalities and planners to make their public spaces smarter and greener by optimizing infrastructure and energy. Intelligent poles can increase efficiency, foster life quality while dramatically reducing energy costs. That is exactly the territory of intelligent poles.
